Matilda Jane's Wish You Were Here April Jane Parade!

Matilda Jane Wish You Were Here April Jane Parade | HI, MJC loves!

I'm sorry that my Jane parade is so late this week, but my personal order didn't make it here until yesterday (gir!), and it's been so dark and dreary I couldn't get enough light into my office to take photos! But here we are, and I hope these help you make your picks this month! SO.

This spring season of Matilda Jane was officially split into two parts - one more springy, early-year holiday inspired (Valentine's Day + Easter), and the other full of summer vacation excitement. Though they typically run their releases that way, this year included a name change. So Camp MJC has wrapped up, and now were are welcoming in Wish You Were Here! And so far? It's full of BRIGHT, summery, fun prints and styles that everyone is loving for their upcoming summer adventures.

In fact, I have to start out with a top that I'm sorry to say - is already gone! We knew that this was going to be a home run - the hype over it after just one sneak was intense!! I'm still sharing because I LOVE IT, and if it ever shows back up in stock, know that you should RUN to grab it!!!

It's called the Navigate You Tee, and it's a generous tts. It's extra-long, and while not flowy, has a little forgiveness to it. So I'd go with your normal size, unless you're on the fence - go one size down. If you can find it, that is! ;) I'm wearing the XS above.

Next up is this springy tank that will be great all summer long, too!

Matilda Jane green women's tank

It's the Weekend Away Tank, and it's super flowy and flirty. I love the green color, and it has really pretty lace detailing on both the back and the front. This one is intentionally swingy, but I decided to size down so I didn't feel too overwhelmed by fabric! It's a little bit on the shorter side, though, so if you're taller than me (I'm 5'5"), I'd stick with your normal size. I'm wearing the XS above.

My next favorite (did you notice that's how I often organize these posts -- in order of favorites? ;) ) is this blue, drop-waist, t-shirty dress.

This is the Walkabout Dress, and this one seems like the perfect thing to wear with a pair of cute sandals to have dinner on a patio somewhere. Doesn't it?? It just has that casual feel to it, while being just a little dressed up. It has a slight "sharkbite" hemline to it with some peekaboo fabric in the skirt to give it a little bit of dressy, MJ flair. I'm wearing the small above and I'm debating on the XS...there's a little extra room in the torso for me. So I'd call this a generous tts as well.

Next up is a good staple big ruffle style!

I really love big ruffles for the summer weather - they pair best with sandals and flats in my opinion, and that's May-Sept weather around here! These Wayfarer Big Ruffles are a nice deep grey that pairs with lots, in the cropped style. I'm wearing the M above, I'd need the small.

Anyone remember this next style of dress??

matilda jane red women's larkspur dress

This style has been around the MJ block, and now it's available in a summery red shade! If you remember the Larkspur, the sizing on this one - the One Way Dress - is very different! This is much more tts (the larkspur was 2 sizes small), but it fits basically the same otherwise. I'm wearing the L above, pinned for pictures. There's something about the style of this one that makes you just feel pretty!!

Here's another breezy summery top that will suit many occasions.

This is the Our Atlas Top, and my favorite features are the layered bell style sleeves, and the little peplum detail on the back hem. This top has a really smooth, flowy, breathable feel to it, which will make it perfect for a summer evening. I'm wearing the XL above, but it's pinned a bunch for photos...I'm not really sure how this one runs, but my guess is tts?

The last women's piece this month is a maxi.

I really have no clue on how this one fits (there is an alarming amount of clothes pins on me lol), but I can tell you that this cottony dress feels super comfy for a summer afternoon! The stripe on this dress is the accent fabric from many of our girls pieces, so you can coordinate with your little in the No Baggage Maxi Dress.

There wasn't a lot from the tween line this month that felt women's appropriate (though it's SO ADORABLE for tweens, I would have loved some of these when I was younger!) I did try on the My Route Tunic because I love the style and the criss-cross detail on the back, but I'm not sure that the triangle print is really me.

I'd get a 14 in it for sure..actually maybe a 12? I have the 10 on above and it was for sure too tight around the arms, but perfect everywhere else. So maybe that means it's running slightly big? If the triangle fabric were solid or a floral, I'd be alllll about this! If you don't mind the triangles though, this one is super cute!!

I also tried on this Steer Me Tee because it was in my size, but it's really too young for me!

It's SUPER cute, but the sleeves are a bit much for a 30-something, haha.

Finally, I did get one thing from the Home line...the Passport Pillow Case. I got it to use as a spring throw pillow in my living room - isn't it SO CUTE?! I actually need a bigger pillow insert for it, but this one works okay for now.

I love the bike, and the baskets full of embroidered flowers. So sweet!

Did you get anything yet?? What's your favorite piece from this release? The girls and baby line was out of control cute - I have tons of photos of those pieces in my VIP group if you want to check them out! Join me here --> Jenn's MJ Hideaway

See you next month with mooore pretties! xo

  1. The green floral top has the prettiest floral print to it. It does run a bit short and swingy just like you said. I got my order so it's been fun to compare your post here to my items. Oh, and the Atlas top definitely runs at least a half size big. It's one of my favorites though!
