What Do You Photograph?

The other day, I was scrolling through Pinterest when this quote caught my eye.

photograph letterboard

It's a simple idea, but then out of curiosity, I opened up the camera roll on my phone.

What I saw was: my kids, sunsets, clothes, bright colors, and nature.

And it's so true. I value my children and my role as their mother, as well as our relationship with each other, I value beauty and the art and creation of nature and the surprising way it shows itself to us differently on a daily basis, and, well.....clothes. Which sounds shallow and materialistic, but I like them for their colors and patterns and textures and the way they can completely alter the way you feel about yourself and your place in the world.

That's me, guys - in a nutshell.

Nature, beauty, kids, love, color. (Oh, and coffee. Can't forget the coffee!)

So what do you photo? Does it say anything about who you are, or what you fear loosing? What makes your life feel worthwhile and exciting, and what would feel like a true loss to have to go without?

Keep up with my daily letterboards every day in October!!! See the landing page for my 31 Days challenge this year HERE.
