Hoop Art Wall (15/31)

Welcome back to 31 Days of adding beauty & loving my home! This post is part of a series for the month of October (I'm catching up!) - visit the first post for details & links to all the other posts!

Sorry for the delay on finishing these posts for you guys! The amount of work, illness and volunteering in this household is off the chain at the moment. BUT, better late than never I always say - and I'm determined to finish this series! Even if it takes me the rest of the year.

SO. This was my first postponed post, as I wasn't finished with my hoop wall so I could share it with you. And honestly? It's still not done. It's not even started, aside from some of the hoops being made. And so this is a WIP (work in progress) post that I hope to update for you when I finally get around to it. Hopefully soon!

Right now, I have photos of the hoop collection I've started and the place I plan to hang them. I love to sneak hoop art into other areas of decorating, but this specific area is a little different - I have a theme in mind.

Here are some of the hoops that are currently waiting to hang (I made them all):

These hoops are going to hang directly above our tv, where we'll see them all the time. Right now there's a collage-style frame there filled with wedding pictures that I put together shortly after we were married. I can't stand it now! I don't like the style of it, I'm not a huge fan of black anymore, and it annoys me that the bell-shape of my dress is repeated all over the place. I hate that it's become kind of an eyesore to me since it's our wedding pictures, but I know I can do something better with those!

Instead, I want to fill this area with family-related hoops (our name and other significant things), and our interests. I'm specifically thinking of our shared TV and movie favorites because of the location of these hoops. I think it's a great, fitting place to celebrate the things we love!

As you can see above, I already have a Harry Potter hoop ready to go, and when I'm back to crafting for myself (it's busy season on Etsy and I'm making some Christmas gifts for family!), I'm going to add in a Tardis. I'm not sure what else I'll do just yet - possibly something for the kids favorites (Like Ninja Turtles? Yeah, that seems like a no-brainer.)

I have a few framed wedding photos that I might mix into this gallery also, just to hang onto some of those in the limited amount of wall space we have, but we'll see!

Can't wait to show you how it all turns out!
