Golf & Things.

As I'm sure you all know, the Bills sucked it up yesterday. Not that I witnessed it - I was upstairs on the computer while Matt watched the game downstairs with his friend Dave. My goodness are those two loud! You would have thought they were at the game. Matt was so upset after the loss because we didn't deserve it, and as he put it "the Bills losing one game is the equivalent of the Sabres losing 5.25 games in a row". That would be pretty depressing. So, in an attempt to cheer him up I agreed to play his new Tiger Woods game on xbox with him.

What's funny is, I ended up playing the game for like 3 hours! I just got sucked in. I kept buying pink equipment and clothing for my character (she had so much pink on her that even I wouldn't be caught dead looking like that). There's this challenge through the whole game that allows you to increase your skills and unlock things - and it just so happened that I had to beat a certain girl in order to use the pink golf balls (And of course, pink golf balls are essential!). So I played through that, and was satisfied that my character was officially good enough to compete against Matt's. We set it all up - we were going to play pebble beach, and 4 holes in we realized it was 10:15! Being the boring old married couple we are (haha), our bedtime is 10:30, so we had to cut our game short. But I'll have you know, I was winning by 3 strokes :)

Anyway, this round of Tiger got Matt thinking, and he came up with a great idea. We've been trying to have a date night every weekend, and though we didn't this weekend, we had a great one last weekend. It was the good 'ol dinner & a movie kind of date and we had a lot of fun. So next weekend, we're going to have a golf date. He has a bogo coupon for a round of putt-putt at the driving range he usually goes to. So we're going to do that, and then he said he's going to teach me how to chip. I really don't think me and actual real live golf are going to mix as well as the video game version, but I'll let him try. And then we're going to finish it up with some take out & Tiger Woods at home. I think it'll be fun.

I talked to my little sister on the phone the other day (Gabby, the jr. bridesmaid in my wedding for those of you who don't know). She was telling me all about her new hair cut and clothes she got for middle school. She told me about how she was getting a locker, and had to take swimming - I can't believe she's old enough to be in middle school! She and my 11 year old cousin are about 2 weeks apart in age so they're both going into 6th grade. I still remember 6th grade! I can't believe how fast the time goes.
