Buffalo Transplants.

As Matt would probably tell everyone, the most exciting thing going on in our lives right now is that the Direct TV man is coming to set us up tomorrow (I'm rolling my eyes, of course). We've had Adelphia since we moved here, but they don't offer Sunday Ticket which Matt has wanted since the day we left Buffalo. If you ask me, we don't need one more minute of football in our house since it takes up about 4 days of our week when the season starts. Well, I should say Matt's week - since I never have understood football I'm usually scrapbooking or something.

As much as I don't want anymore football in my life, it's actually a small blessing. Usually Matt would go to Tavern on the Tracks (a buffalo-sports themed bar here in Charlotte) to watch all the Bill's games. Since it's uptown the drive usually eats a full gallon of gas, not to mention the wings & beer he enjoys while he's there. So believe it or not, this will save some money. We'll still be able to get Center Ice, which if you don't know is Sunday Ticket's hockey equivalent. How did transplanted Buffalo fans survive without these sports packages?!

Plus, we get 4 free months of all the movie channels. Which will be nice...but I'm praying we don't get spoiled, therefore sucked into actually paying for them when the 4 months is up.

It's pretty nice, how easy Charlotte makes it for us Buffalonians. Or maybe it's just that there's so many of us here we try to pave the way for the rest of them. One thing I don't think I'll ever get used to is the traffic. Imagine the most backed up day on the Niagara Falls Blvd, and multiply it times 100. That's Charlotte, all the time. In fact I spent a full hour on the 85 this morning, doing a drive that would take 5 minutes without traffic.

Anyway, until I put in some effort to take relevant pictures & upload them, I figure I will post a wedding picture each time I write. Which of course could carry me for 5 years since I have so many of them! (ps - you can click on the pictures to see a bigger version!)

Daniel started middle school this week!!!! Can you believe it? If he can make it theough without getting beat up, I'll be happy!!

Oh, Rapids Bowling Lanes on NF Blvd. had a fire this morning, which is where Daniel was suppose to start his new season this Saturday. Don't know how they're gonna handle this. Great huh?
