My Boys' Favorite Books Vol. 3 // Halloween

The big day is just around the corner, so I thought I'd share the books that my kids most love to read leading up to Halloween. These are all Scholastic finds again!

My boys' favorite Halloween books

T. Rex Trick-or-Treats Lois G. Grambling
The boys love this story of a T Rex trying to pick the perfect costume for Halloween, along with all of the other dinosaur mentions through the book. It's a cute little story about being yourself and choosing to smile.

It's Pumpkin Day, Mouse! Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond
Everyone loves the stories this little mouse gets himself into, but in this super-simple book, he's just painting lots of pumpkins! Jake especially likes to see the different faces he comes up with.

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat by Lucille Colandro
As I mentioned in my last kids' book share, we have this in pretty much every version! It's the same repeating, silly story, with a Halloween theme that the kids get a kick out of!

Five Little Pumpkins Dan Yaccarino
This short little book features a poem that the kids first learned in preschool and performed as part of their little school programs. They love reminiscing with this super-simple read.

Ten Timid Ghosts by Jennifer O'Connell
A fun little rhyming story that's full of everything Halloween!

Inside A House That Is Haunted by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
A repeating, memory story that's similar to This Is The House That Jack Built with a Halloween twist. It's got a silly side, so this is one is perfect for Henry both in content and reading level.

Happy Reading!! xo
