My Boys' Favorite Books Vol. 2 // Fall

My boy's favorite fall themed books from scholastic | www.enrychment.com Now that the house is decorated for fall, the kids are setting into the new school year, and fall weather is making an appearance every now and then (crazy that it's not totally here yet!), I've pulled out all of our Fall & Halloween books to read in the evenings.

My boys favorite Fall books

We have a pretty big stack, and the kids are crazy about all of them, really. But I singled out the ones that are based on the Fall season specifically for this post. There's a mix of silliness and information in this little stack, and they all came from Scholastic book orders over the years.

autumns first leaf

Autumn's First Leaf by Steve Metzger
This is a super cute little story about leaves changing colors in fall, differences in individuals, and enduring friendship despite those differences.

hibernation station

Hibernation Station by Michelle Meadows
My boys love animals, so they get a kick out of this big grouping of different cute, cuddly guys struggling to get settled and fall asleep.

that pup!

That Pup! by Lindsay Barrett George
My littlest guy loves this one - it's a simple little story of a puppy playing a game with acorns, unknowingly undoing a squirrel's hard work of stocking up for winter. He loves finding where the squirrel is hiding on each page.

fall changes

Fall Changes by Ellen B. Senisi
This is an old one, but a good, simple explanation of the changes that happen in Fall. As each of my guys grew into a bit more awareness, they loved learning about the changing season and all of the exciting little things that happen.

there was an old lady who swallowed some leaves

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves by Lucille Colandro
We own many different versions of this story for all different seasons and holidays. It's the classic story of There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly re-imagined for Fall, and they always get a kick out of the ridiculous things she's able to eat.

let it fall

Let It Fall by Maryann Cocca-Leffler
This one is just a cute, quick story that captures the feel and fun of the fall season!

And in the spirit of books and Fall....
