Thanksgiving 2012

This was our very first Thanksgiving in Nana & Papa's new house! It was a little sad to not be in our old house for the holidays, but the fireplace did make it a little extra special!

The day before Thanksgiving, Luke brought me a bouquet of Thanksgiving flowers with a little note about what he is thankful for this year....

Luke gave me flowers from school today ❤❤❤
too funny!

On the morning of Thanksgiving, Luke was really excited to be my sous chef! Together we made breakfast and finished part of our dessert for that evening which had to chill for the rest of the day. We made pumpkin french toast for everyone, and then I started doing some Black Friday shopping with the deals that showed up online a bit early this year.

My sous chef for Thanksgiving...starting out with pumpkin pie french toast for breakfast!

Pumpkin pie French toast & early black Friday shopping - yes please!

The rest of the day was filled with watching the parade, shopping online, and cooking my part of dinner. In the early evening, we set out for Nana's to eat, celebrate and play!

The boys' had a lot of fun playing with all of Nana's toys. Henry spent some time entertaining all of us by pushing two bins together like he was closing the doors to an imaginary house, and waving hello and goodbye to us each time. It was so cute :)

A couple days later, we had Thanksgiving Take 2, where we had his (now famous) pumpkin bread pudding. This has become the stuff of my holiday dreams! ❤

Pumpkin. Bread. Pudding. ❤❤❤❤❤

We hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving with your families - we are grateful for all of you!
