Way too long!

It's February 22nd, and this is my first update of 2008 - I'm such a slacker! Grandma, I know you've been checking! You too, James! I promise I'll get better at this. I'm going to make it my goal to update at least twice a month. I hoped it would be even more often than that but I just never remember to do it!

I actually had a decent update not too long ago. It was full of pictures and everything, and the site timed out and I lost everything. I didn't have the motivation to put it back together again, so I guess I just gave up for a while. I will get you some pictures, soon!

Gosh, so much has gone on since I last updated! My mom & Mallory came down to visit and we had our "fake" Christmas. Matt and I both ended up sick on the real deal and spent that weekend miserable with fevers. The following week we went home for New Years & the Ice Bowl, which was great! I feel bad that I didn't document that here. We had a really fun gathering at my mom's house New Years Eve, and the Ice Bowl was just an absolutely awesome experience. It was great seeing all of you while we were home!

About a week after that, as some of you know, we went home again. It was a very sad visit - Matt's Grandma passed away. We were lucky enough to visit with her one last time during our New Years trip. RIP Grandma Browne. :(

So, let's see what's new. Most of you know who Lynne is - I have been friends with her since I was 8 years old. We grew up across the street from each other and were pretty much inseparable. We even ended up getting married 1 week apart. Anyway, she had her baby! Her name is Monalisa Ellie Thompson. She is so cute! She was born on February 12th around 9pm weighing 6lbs 15oz. I really wish I was going home soon so I could meet her in person. For now, Lynne's mom has been emailing me pictures all the time. It kills me that I couldn't be home for that.

What else....oh! Matt and I finally bought a bedroom set. A full bed (headboard, foot board & side rails), a horizontal dresser with a mirror, and two nightstands. It is such an improvement from what we used to have. I will get you pictures of that, too!

Hope everything is going well back in Buffalo. We miss you all so much! And - we are saying prayers for you, Amy & Dave!
